We decided to switch up a bit today We traveled downtown Atlanta to meet up with Curtis an aspiring actor and model.

Tell us about yourself.
I’m a strong independent hardworking man that loves to stay on the grind no matter what.
What was your first acting experience?
My first acting experience was a speaking role in the movie ITS A COLD ASS WORLD.
How did you know you wanted to be an actor?
I watched Kevin Hart , Regina Hall, Rolanda Rochelle and Kountry Wayne best actors and actresses I have seen and wanted to work with.
What kind of training have you had?
I haven’t had any training yet I’m currently working on going to the Manns -Robinson Academy.
What was your big break?
When I was interviewed on two radio Stations and being put in two magazines.
How do you get into character?
Hmm how do I get into character? Great question. I learn to become one with the character's spirit and emotions .I put that energy into what the character is feeling into my body then release all those feelings that the character I'm playing.
What’s your fondest memory or moment while filming?
My foundest memories are created when filming. I'm meeting all celebrities that i wanted to meet when I was a child and now that I’m able to connect with those celebrities. It makes me feel more impowered and more embracing to connect with them and the people they know.
What was the most challenging role you’ve ever played?
The most challenging scene and most challenging role to film was at Tyler Perry studios I was on set playing the stealing neighbor role as a background.
The water from the top of the house was pouring on us making me soaking wet to the point where it was hard for me to move around in soaked clothes. I managed to push through.
What kind of roles do you usually play?
I usually do background to get me started and more experienced. But I have done two speaking roles in two movies though.
If you could trade places with any other character in the film, who would it be and why?
I would trade for dirt the character that plays the boyfriend of Stacey. He's more genuine , kind and lovable. He can also be a hot head when he finds out that he being played.
What prompted you to pursue acting as a career?
Rolanda Rochelle is the women that promoted me to persue my career because I love watching her and she gave me great inspiration.
What’s been your favorite role to play thus far and why?
I like to play was the drug dealer because I give off the vibes and for one I have the personality/ attitude for the role.
Do you have any funny or interesting stories from auditions?
Well I don’t have any funny stories but there once was a interesting audition. So I had my assistant to submit for an audition for me had actually been invited to audition. The audition took place was a church which , was interesting because I never auditionioned in a church before.
How do you mentally and emotionally prepare for a movie or show?
I mentally tell myself I can do this I can do this. You got this you got this! Ain’t nothing going to keep you off your grind! You are striving for greatness. And emotionally I just act how the character is feeling
What advice would you give to new or aspiring actors/actresses?The advice I will give is if you want to become a big star it takes time effort dedication potential and work ethic. You just don’t act in 1 -3 movies and think u a big time star it doesn’t work like that. You have to stay on the grind each and every day and invest your money into entertainment industry. Nothing is free. Also make sure get lost of training before you sign with agencies because they are looking for people that have experience and training as well as reels including a resume. Be careful on submitting to certain agencies because all agencies aren’t good agencies so always do research on the agencies.
Is there anything new on the way?
Yes I’m in a newly filmed movie called "Streets don’t love nobody" the movie will be releasing in Detroit theaters.
Outside of acting what do you do?
Outside of acting I work at the airport Mercedes Benz and will be training for flight attendant in upcoming month. And I visit friends in other states.
